This was our first event that I attended. David Whitman Confederate grave dedication.It was held at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Westminster, SC on April 29, 2012 at 3 PM.

Cemetery Westminster, SC
Mr. David Whitman
enlisted in the War between the States on August 1, 1863 through his last date
of service, February 1864.
Mr. Raymond
Singleton welcomed the guests. He then led us in the hymn “Amazing Grace” Mr.
Singleton recognized the UDC Officers/Chapters and the SVC Officers/Chapters
present.
Regina Power,
president, Emmala Reed Miller Chapter, SC Division, UDC led the ritual
dedication.
The removal of
Drape over the stone was removed. The Confederate flag was folded and presented
to Julia Barnes, SC Division, Piedmont District, District Director.
Honor guard
continued with the Firing of Respect at the Grave.
